A letter from Gabby

Dear Anima fam,

The soul of Anima is our community. Community, inclusivity, and diversity hold a special place in my heart, and I believe they are essential for our overall well-being.

Anima was founded on wanting to provide a safe space for every person to move, grow, learn, and further discover themselves. Here, we welcome and value everyone, regardless of their circumstance or background breaking down barriers of judgment and isolation. With this, we hope to become your second home where you feel an instant sense of belonging and support.

These pillars create a foundation for a space where everyone feels seen and has the opportunity to thrive. Throughout our studio, we have set multiple ways to ensure this happens:

  • Classes full of options & variations to meet you where you are
  • Small class numbers to better help with your personal needs
  • Monthly free community classes for everyone to be able to be a part of the community
  • Gender neutral toilets, changing space, and verbiage in class
  • Events & workshops focused on LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities
  • Our cafe to further connect

As we strive to provide all that your soul needs, wants, and desires in one space, I want you to know that we are always all ears. We want every Anima member to have a voice and agency to help us grow and prosper together. Have an idea, think we could do something better, or really like something you see? Please feel free to share this with us as we'd love to hear from you!

Thank you for trusting us. Happy to have you here.

Warmly,

Gabby Hankinson
